The Making of A Game Room
Formal living rooms are such a waste of good space, in my opinion. While they can be beautiful to look at and certainly add to the ambiance of a home, they seem stuffy and “untouchable” to me. And with my very active family of five, a formal living room just won’t do.
Since moving into our home nearly thirteen years ago our formal living room space has been used as a play room. There were toys haphazardly thrown about with no real organization or storage solution. The play room had become an eye sore. And with my children growing older, the room became an unused space.
Somehow, I got the bright idea to update our unused play room into a fully functioning, big kid game room. I utilized YouTube videos to get a solid design idea. I searched craft stores like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, and Joann to buy the supplies and desired decor.
After nearly two weeks of work we completed the room. It is fantastic! My family has been having a grand old time playing air hockey, gaming, and enjoying our new space.
I’ll give a more detailed account of the craft projects in upcoming blog posts. But for now, enjoy the pictures!
